Pitchers & Catchers Have Reported!

Yes, it’s that time of year again. Pitchers and catchers have reported to spring training in Arizona and Florida, which means the 2012 baseball season is right around the corner.

Most people get excited for the holiday season — but let’s be honest, the holiday season has nothing on baseball season!

This is my first year in the Chicago White Sox organization, so things are a little different for me this time around.

The last four years (2008-2011) around this time, I wrote previews, recaps, and more about the Philadelphia Phillies. This time, for me, it’s different.

Goodbye Grapefruit League — hello Cactus League!

While I’ll still keep my eye on some of the players I have seen develop in the Phils organization over the past four years, it’s time to look ahead and look towards the future — the White Sox.

Over the past month I have done tons of research on the Sox. I have read many publications about the organization and I must admit, I believe they are headed in the right direction.

It’s an exciting time to be a part of the organization. There are some good young players throughout the minor league system, and I am excited to see them come through Knights Stadium this season.

Going forward, make sure to check out this blog for tons of spring training news. You can expect previews, news, notes, and much more each week as we approach the 2012 regular season. For now, here is a look at the Chicago White Sox Top 10 Prospects, as ranked by Baseball America.
